Dr. Danny Lewis, Jr. is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and hospitalist with over a decade of clinical experience across rural and community hospitals in Iowa and Minnesota. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and the Northeast Iowa Family Medicine Education Foundation residency program, Dr. Lewis brings a rare combination of emergency, inpatient, and primary care expertise to every setting he serves.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lewis has distinguished himself as a versatile clinician capable of managing high-acuity cases in open ICU environments, leading code responses, performing advanced procedures from chest tube placements to emergent airway management, and providing continuity of care in underserved communities. He currently practices as a locum tenens physician across multiple credentialed facilities in the Midwest through several staffing agencies, including Wapiti Medical Staffing, Highland Medical Staffing, ApolloMD, KPG Healthcare, and Community Physicians Care.

Dr. Lewis served as Chief of Staff and Assistant Medical Director at MercyOne New Hampton for six years, where he also built and maintained his own outpatient panel, a testament to both his clinical depth and his commitment to the communities he works in. Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Program Director at the Northeast Iowa Family Medicine Education Foundation, mentoring the next generation of physicians while managing a busy inpatient service.
