Dr. David DiPiazza studied at Cornell University, where he completed his undergraduate education before going on to earn his MD. He then completed a residency for which he practiced and worked at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Princeton Medical Center. After completing his six years of surgical and urological training, he moved from New Jersey to Florida, where he has since become a highly respected local physician.
In his practice, Dr. David DiPiazza makes extensive use of cutting-edge procedures using the da Vinci Surgical Robot, an advanced laparoscopic surgical tool. During these da Vinci surgeries, he uses the robot to perform a wide range of tasks with minimal incisions and invasiveness. The low-impact nature of these surgeries often means that patients may return home after only a brief time in the hospital. In addition to performing da Vinci procedures, Dr. DiPiazza has served as a proctor for the technique, teaching other surgeons to use the da Vinci Surgical Robot.
Some of the most common procedures offered by Dr. David DiPiazza include anterior exenteration, sacrocolpopexy, pelvic lymphadenectomy, prostatectomy, and pyeloplasty. Dr. DiPiazza regularly repairs vaginal prolapse, both with a vaginal approach and through use of the da Vinci Surgical Robot. He also treats enlarged prostates or BPH and offers in-office no-scalpel, no-needle vasectomies.
