Dr. Lenihan is the CEO of Tiber Health. As an experienced educator and medical practitioner, he is passionate about improving access to medical education for students of all backgrounds and income levels. Before launching Tiber Health and assuming the role of President of Ponce Health Sciences University, Dr. Lenihan served as Dean at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. At Touro, he fundamentally changed the way medical education is taught.

In addition to flipping the classroom, he developed a dynamically adaptive curriculum that he linked to real-time, systematic assessment of both students and faculty. The pioneering methodology deployed at Touro and Ponce has successfully reduced the cost of medical education while improving quality, graduate rates, and U.S. Board scores.

Previously, Dr. Lenihan founded a system of outpatient clinics in the UK. Dr. Lenihan holds a Ph.D. in Peripheral Neurosurgery/‌Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, where he was also a peripheral nerve surgical fellow, a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer University, and Juris Doctor from Touro University. He has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in spinal cord injury at Washington University (Saint Louis), and has published over 20 scientific papers on the assessment and repair of the nervous system.
