Dr. David Levi
Over the course of his career in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. David Levi has helped numerous individuals manage their unique conditions, building a solid record of patient satisfaction. Following receipt of his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1990, Dr. David Levi earned admission to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark. From 1991 through 1995, Dr. David Levi studied all aspects of medicine at UMDNJ, at the same time cultivating an early interest in anesthesiology and pain management. Upon graduation from UMDNJ with his M.D., David Levi moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, for a one-year general internship at the Mayo Clinic. By 1996, Dr. David Levi had begun a three-year residency in anesthesiology at the Stanford University Medical Center, where he demonstrated his proficiency as both a practitioner and researcher. Chief Resident in the final year of his residency at Stanford, Dr. David Levi also contributed research to an article published in a 1999 edition of Anesthesiology and presented posters at the 1998 International Anesthesia Research Society Annual Meeting and the 1998 Western Anesthesia Resident Conference. At the end of his residency, Dr. David Levi remained at Stanford to complete a fellowship in pain management in 2000. From there, Dr. David Levi moved to Danbury, Connecticut, and began working on the staff at Connecticut Pain Care, P.C., where he spent six-plus years.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. David Levi has served as President and Medical Director of Danbury-based Pain & Spine Specialists of Connecticut, LLC since 2007. Aside from his work at Pain & Spine Specialists of Connecticut, LLC, Dr. David Levi performs as Pain Management Representative for Connecticut Medicare’s Carrier Advisory Committee and develops his considerable medical expertise through membership in such professional organizations as the North American Spine Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Connecticut Pain Society, and the Fairfield County Medical Association. Dr. David Levi holds an active license to practice medicine in the state of Connecticut.
