Dr. David Zagzag serves the New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center in New York City as a Professor of Pathology and Neurosurgery. He also functions as chief of the division of neuropathology and director of the Human Brain Tumor Bank, among other positions. During his time with the university Dr. David Zagzag has achieved a number of prestigious awards, including the 1999 Lucien J. Rubenstein Award for best paper in neuro-oncology and, more recently, Castle Connolloy Medical honors as one of America’s Top Doctors and Top Cancer Doctor. He has also received recognition for his achievements as a teacher, including the NYU All-University Distinguished teaching award in 2010.
Beyond his activities at the Langone Medical Center, Dr. Zagzag maintains memberships with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the World Health Organization International Agency for Research on Cancer, the American Cancer Society, the New York University Faculty Senate, and the American Association for Cancer Research. He is also a member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, and the International Congress of Neuropathology.
