Hello, I’m Dr. Bates
I’m a Christ-Based Counselor, Executive Pastor, Life Coach, Credentialing Director, and Counselor Mentor with a heart for helping people heal, grow, and move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence in who God has called them to be.
I serve through BATES Counseling Solutions, Amazing Things – The Church, and the National Association of Certified Christ-Based Counselors, where I have the privilege of counseling, mentoring, equipping, and encouraging others in both their personal and spiritual journeys.
But there’s more to me than the titles.
Texas is currently home, and some of the things I enjoy most are reading and studying the Word of God, spending quality time with my family, loving on my “grand-dogs,” and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
At the heart of everything I do is my love for God and my desire to serve people well. Whether through counseling, ministry, mentoring, teaching, or simply sharing life with others, I want my life and work to help people recognize that where they are today does not have to be where their story ends.
