Dr. Douglas Deuchar

Dr. Douglas Deuchar operates Deuchar Family Dentistry in Kennesaw, Georgia. A resident of Georgia since 1982, Dr. Deuchar attended the University of Georgia as well as the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia. After finishing school and earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1996, he worked at various private Georgia dental practices. His experience as an associate at these practices prepared him to open his own business in 1998. After more than a decade, Deuchar Family Dentistry has earned a reputation for quality care.

At his practice Dr. Douglas Deuchar gives patients both preventative and restorative care in addition to offering cosmetic services. Dr. Deuchar provides preventative care first, and new patients can expect to have a complete hour-long exam (known as the prophylaxis) and an x-ray of their teeth, known as the bitewing radiograph. He follows up the preventative care with restorative care, which includes implants, fillings, porcelain crowns and bridges, partials, and dentures. Patients can then elect to receive cosmetic services as well, such as porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and bonding/recontouring.

In his spare time, Dr. Douglas Deuchar involves himself with church activities and charitable interests. In the past, he has combined the two and volunteered on church-sponsored trips to provide dental care to people in developing countries. On one trip to a Central American country, Dr. Douglas Deuchar provided oral healthcare to rural villages, including treatment and education about prevention of future problems. Dr. Deuchar also provides indirect aid to communities closer to home by supporting churches that are active in the Cobb County School CAPP Program.
