Rahul Choudaha, PhD

Dr. Rahul Choudaha is a global leader in higher education with expertise in driving strategic initiatives and overseeing programs that advance student success, accelerate enrollment growth, and strengthen institutional innovation, reputation, and impact. Before returning to India in 2024 as the head of academic and student affairs at the Indian School of Business (ISB), he spent 18 years living and working in Washington, DC, New York, San Francisco, and Denver.

Previously, Dr. Choudaha was Managing Director of Higher Education at Morning Consult, a global data intelligence company based in Washington, DC. His earlier leadership roles include Director at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), owner of the GMAT exam; Executive Vice President at Studyportals, a global platform connecting students and universities; and Senior Director at World Education Services (WES), a leading provider of credential evaluation services. Across these roles, he worked with cross-functional global teams to accelerate growth, launch innovative services, strengthen organizational reputation, and build stakeholder partnerships.

Dr. Rahul Choudaha is a recognized thought leader known for his data-driven analysis and insights on global talent mobility and international higher education. His work examines how global trends shape education and career pathways for individuals, as well as growth and engagement strategies for institutions. His articles have appeared in outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, Asia Times, Times Higher Education, and University World News. He has delivered nearly 200 conference presentations—including keynotes, plenaries, and workshops—and has been quoted over 300 times in leading publications, including Bloomberg, Inside Higher Ed, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Times Higher Education, The PIE News, University World News, The Financial Times, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, The Times of India, and China Daily. He has served as a visiting scholar at the Center for Studies in Higher Education at UC Berkeley. As an adjunct faculty member, Dr. Choudaha has taught at George Mason University and the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Dr. Choudaha holds a PhD from the University of Denver, an MBA from IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE), and a BE from JEC, India.
