With a health care career encompassing positions as medical director and physician, Dr. Edward Rose currently serves as an author and technical specialist with MMS Holdings, Inc. Working within a clinical research organization, he composes the study reports, white papers, and peer-reviewed manuscripts that make up the pharmaceutical industry paperwork required for new drug applications. Dr. Edward Rose is also a regular blogger who maintains the site Parenting News Online! He writes about current health issues affecting children and parents, including the effect of video games on physical activity, and breastfeeding’s role in preventing mental illness.
Dr. Rose completed his MD at the University of Michigan Medical School and led Providence Specialists in Family Practice, P.C., in Novi, Michigan, from 1985 to 1995. Next serving as associate residency director at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Rose focused on diabetes and cardiovascular care. Among the teaching practices he guided was a primary care HIV clinic serving the downtown Detroit community. Dr. Edward Rose is a longtime jazz musician who has a passion for the music of Count Basie, Chick Corea, and the Yellowjackets.
