She worked 12 hour shifts 5 days a week at this daycare and proceeded to pursue her passion in education in Cleveland. Growing up, Drekia attended the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for her whole educational career from Douglas MacArthur to Oliver Hazard Perry to Forest Hill Parkway to John Hay Early College. She decided that it was time to give back to the school district that raised her to become the person that she is today rather it be from positive or negative experiences. Not to mention that Drekia has started her career at the age of 21.
