Elissa Jeanne Santoro, MD

Elissa Jeanne Santoro, MD, works at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. She is Founder of their Breast Care and Treatment Center, a practice devoted exclusively to breast oncology/surgical oncology cases.

Appearing on several media outlets, Dr. Santoro is known as the first woman ever to receive a post doctoral grant through the American Cancer Society. She was also the first woman to ever exclusively enter the field as a breast surgeon in the state of New Jersey. Awarded for her excellent and innovative contributions to medicine, Dr. Santoro has worked with New Jersey state legislators to develop a Woman's Health Department and increased funds for Breast Cancer Research.
