Dr. Ellen Wilson

Dallas, Texas

For more than a decade, Dr. Ellen Wilson has worked in several capacities at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She regularly treats patients and offers expertise in polycystic ovarian syndrome and menstrual disorders. Dr. Ellen Wilson also assists women with congenital abnormalities of the reproductive tract. As an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology, she provides guidance to medical students and residents. She also serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology program at Children's Medical Center.

Before becoming a physician and educator, Ellen Wilson studied psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree and membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She was also recognized as a Tulane University Scholar. Three years after commencement, she enrolled in Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Following the receipt of her MD, she went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to pursue a surgical internship at hospital in Kananga. She then relocated to Washington to serve as a Resident in the obstetrics and gynecology department at The George Washington University. While there, she received multiple awards for her efforts.

In addition to treating patients, she has joined several industry organizations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Association of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons, and The North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Dr. Ellen Wilson also supports a number of charities. She contributes to the March of Dimes and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, both of which strive to resolve challenging medical issues. She also donates to the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief programs.
