The Story and Mission of Balanced Body Fitness:
I started working out Junior Year of high school after being bullied for being very skinny. My original goal was just to gain enough muscle and weight so that no one would bully me, but I quickly became addicted to the progress and the process of working out. That is, until I turned 18 and was recruited to join a MLM business.
At 18 years old, I was sold the dream of chasing money, and I bit the carrot hard. I sacrificed everything in hopes of being young and rich; from 18-20, all i knew was work. Then after 2 years, I fell into a very dark depression. Hustling 80 hour weeks to build another person's dreams, all work no play, had deteriorated my physical and mental health. I quit the business and started getting back to my passion - health & fitness. Then on my 21st birthday I was invited to an edm show. After that night, between rediscovering my passion for fitness and allowing myself to actually have fun, for the first time in a long time, I felt like I was genuinely happy again.
In retrospect, the thing I was missing in my life was balance.
The concept of balance has carried over to not only my fitness philosophy, but it has become my life's mantra. Without balance, anything you set out to accomplish is unsustainable. I've learned this through trial and error over the past 8 years in my fitness journey, and in my career as a personal trainer/coach.
Over that time I've been able to add 50 lbs to my frame all naturally byfiguring out what works and doesn't work, but most importantly I've developed the mindsets and habits necessary to sustain the results I've achieved.
My life's mission now is to help every day people become the strongest, most confident version of themselves by teaching them applicable habits/lifestyle changes for long lasting, sustainable health & fitness success. I truly believe that living a healthy lifestyle can 100% positively change someone's life in every single area of their life, not just physically. I want to help as many people as I can make that switch and show through example that balance is the key to sustainability.
By helping others become the best version of themselves and as a result live their best lives, my hope is that they in turn will do the same in motivating others and continue to share those habits and beliefs, creating a trickle down effect that can change the world for the better.
