I grew up thinking that I was going to be an architect. I think that I'm suffering some sort of architectural hangover, because I'm still focused on the qualities of interactive media that, to me, are analogous: I like building things; I like building things that other people can see, experience and use; the mixture of art and commerce; creativity within constraints; constant problem solving.

I came into the field as an interface designer, but quickly shifted into a product manager role as I discovered that I had an affinity and a talent for the engineering side of things. I also realized that not only was I better at leading a diverse group of talented people than I would ever have been at any one discipline, but that by successfully operating as a producer, I could help realize much larger, more complex undertakings.
