Drew Anderson

An alumnus of Queen’s University, Drew Anderson has more than a decade of experience leading communication and public relations initiatives for various Canadian organizations. He served as the Director of Communications for the the New Democratic Party of Canada (NDP), and was part of the team that grew the NDP to 103 seats in the 2011 election. Mr. Anderson also served two years as the Executive Director of Communications for the University of Ottawa, where he oversaw the launch of its next-generation mobile-responsive website and led development of the “Defy the Conventional” brand campaign.

He now uses his experience to consult for Outlier Strategies and to contribute to the Mountain Equipment Co-op as a member of its board of directors. In that capacity, Drew Anderson chairs the Sustainability Committee, offering advice on environmental stewardship and business operations. He formerly chaired MEC's Human Resources and Compensation Committee and the Elections and Member Communications Committee.
