Drew Ackermann

I am a project designer and recent Master of Sustainable Transportation graduate living in Washington, DC. I'm interested in helping our built environment support a more sustainable future through transportation that's focused on moving people, not cars.

I enrolled in the University of Washington’s Master of Sustainable Transportation program because I wanted to match my enthusiasm for improving the built environment with the skills and best practices needed to do it. The program draws on planning, public policy, and engineering disciplines to explore transportation's role in community planning, public health, and the environment.

In addition to my studies, I have 11 years of experience as a fire sprinkler system designer and project manager, where I’ve learned to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines, present complex data in easily understood formats, sustain healthy working relationships, and work independently.
