Most men are lost. Too many of us can talk about women, sports and work all day but we can't talk about anything real.

Men live in a world that's constantly telling us what it means to be a man:

• Don't Be Soft Or Emotional

• Don't Talk About Your Feelings

• Logic & Rationale Are The Only Game(s) In Town

• Be Funny, In Charge & Decisive

• Be Successful (Women, Money, Socially)

• Be Loud & Aggressive

I could go on. The problem is, we end up cut off from ourselves. From our emotions and feelings (which are a very real part of each person). We end up unable to connect meaningfully with those around us and unsure why we're in so much pain.

Connection is the fabric of what it is to be human (I'm looking at you Brene Brown).

Our pain and agony leads us to act out, to try to fill the void, the "hole in our soul". Sex, drugs, food, porn, etc. Most of us are doing the best we can and are simply trying to make the pain go away.

It's taken me 25 years to figure out that what's most important in life is connection, deep meaningful connection. Now that I'm aware of this, I'm working on being a better version of me tomorrow than I am today.

The below are things that are important me:

-When I'm in pain I look inward

-Forgive and accept. You. Me.

-Release expectations

-Change me, not you (and vice versa)

-Personal responsibility, values & time

-Experiences over things

-Spontaneous, in the moment

-Like to dress up, but usually prefer casual

-Resist personal expectations that lead to control

-Embrace the journey - yours and mine

-Not jealous

-Confident (confidence is sexy as hell)

-Personal autonomy

-Constant re-evaluation. What's working? What's not?

For work I'm in Audio Visual Production. I split my time between Peoria, AZ and Las Vegas. I like technology, music, and entrepreneurship. I'm a big Switchfoot fan but also love Pink, Evanescence, The Goo Goo Dolls, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Michelle Branch, Nickelback, Sara Bareilles, Owl City, Thirty Seconds to Mars and many others. I love coffee, fixing things, esthetics, reading, hiking, camping, boating, water, the mountains and connecting with nature.

I live, and have, an unconventional, doesn't fit the mold, life. I'm a risk taker and a questioner. Not a follower. If "they" say go right, I'll probably go left.
