Drew Bodney

My name is Drew Bodney. I play trombone, and I intend to minor in music. I have played the trombone since the sixth grade. I have also been in marching band through high school, and I am marching with the Redcoat Band this fall. I intend to march Drum Corp International next summer, which is essentially major league marching band. I have also been doing concert band and jazz band while in high school. and I am currently in UGA's Symphonic Band,Jazz Band, Trombone Choir, Volleyball Pep Band, and Basketball Pep Band. The trombone is a great stress reliever, and I play it very often in my free time. I also write music and spend a great deal of time arranging and recording music. I have arranged many songs for trombone quartet and trombone octet, and I have even composed a few songs myself. I arrange any and all genres of music. Along with the trombone, I also play the baritone, tuba, guitar and piano. I taught myself how to play most of the instruments I know how to play. Music has and always will be one of the most important things in my life. I feel that music has the ability to communicate feelings and emotions in ways that everyday human interaction and conversation cannot.
