Drew Doscher is a finance professional with over 30 years of experience on Wall Street. He is known for his expertise in distressed debt and the credit markets. Throughout his career, Drew has worked with leading firms such as Lehman Brothers, UBS, Barclays, and Jefferies, where he has helped smaller companies grow into successful businesses, turning challenges into opportunities.

Born and raised in Stuyvesant Town, New York, Drew initially considered a career in law enforcement. However, after graduating from the College of Holy Cross in 1991, he unexpectedly entered the financial world. His first job was in the back office of a financial firm, but it wasn’t long before he transitioned to the trading floor. Drew’s early years at Oppenheimer & Co., where a respected Wall Street figure mentored him, gave him a deep understanding of distressed bonds and loans. In 1995, Drew joined Lehman Brothers, where he further honed his skills working alongside a respected leader in the industry.

In 2001, Drew moved to UBS, a global financial institution. He was tasked with building a distressed trading business in the U.S. and Europe, a new venture for the firm. Drew worked directly with senior executives, and under his leadership, UBS became a prominent player in the distressed markets. Drew’s next career step took him to Barclays in 2006, where he continued to grow the firm’s distressed debt business globally.

After the financial crisis of 2008, Drew saw an opportunity to join Seaport Group in 2009. At the time, Seaport was a small firm with only 40 employees. Under his leadership, Seaport transformed into Seaport Global, expanding into Europe and increasing its team size significantly. Drew’s contributions helped grow the firm’s revenue from under $25 million to $125 million, with revenues never falling below $88 million during challenging years. He was responsible for over 20% of the firm’s revenue.

Drew’s success at Seaport caught the attention of Jefferies, where he helped restore the firm’s reputation after a scandal. He restructured operations, built a new team, and even offered his resignation to protect his team when downsizing was proposed. Later, Drew built successful credit businesses at BTIG and StoneX, further establishing his position in the industry.

Drew Doscher has worked on major financial restructurings for companies like Enron and WorldCom. Known for his ethical approach, he earned a reputation as the “honest guy in a dishonest business.”
