Dr. Fred Norris

For more than 30 years, Fred Norris, Ph.D. has been working in the Ventura County area as a psychologist. He has an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and adults. While Dr. Fred Norris' practice offers a wide range of services, he specializes in ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, divorce issues, learning disabilities, and parenting issues.

Dr. Fred Norris began his career in 1976, working with the school districts of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties as President of Norris and Associates. In this position, Dr. Norris worked in schools to provide counseling, evaluations, and consultations. He continued in this role until 1991. From 1978 to 1979, Dr. Norris also served as a consulting psychologist for the Child Development Program, a county-funded team that worked with children affected by educational, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

In the late 1970s and early 1990s, respectively, Dr. Fred Norris began his clinical and forensic psychology practices, which are both active today in Thousand Oaks, California. Through his clinical practice, Dr. Fred Norris offers psychological counseling and evaluations; marriage, family, and child therapy; organizational counseling; and independent educational evaluations. In his forensic practice, he provides mediation; court ordered therapy; custody evaluations; criminal, civil, and dependency court evaluations; and expert testimony.

Dr. Fred Norris is a member of several notable professional organizations, including the Ventura County Psychological Association (VCPA), where he once served as President and now serves as Ethics Chair. He also maintains involvement with the California Psychological Association (CPA), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association.
