Dr. Gerald Buchoff

A veterinarian with more than a quarter century of experience in both conventional and holistic practices in northern New Jersey, Gerald Buchoff, BVScAH, regularly uses his skills to give back to the community at large. In particular, he provides his services to local and state animal rescue groups. Dr. Buchoff also supports such national and international animal welfare organizations as ASPCA, Alley Cat Allies, Humane Society of the United States, Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights, and the World Wildlife Fund, and many non-animal-related organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Congregation Agudath Israel of West Essex, Inc., Environmental Committee.

Dr. Gerald Buchoff owns and manages his veterinary practice, Holistic Pet Care, P.A., in Little Falls in Passaic County. Holistic Pet Care focuses primarily on alternative options in veterinary medicine, taking into account other aspects of the pets’ health, including their emotional needs. Dr. Buchoff performs procedures such as cold laser therapy, Neoplasene bloodroot cancer therapy, Sonotron treatment, chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy, herbs, ozone, homotoxicology, cold laser, and intestinal balancing, along with conventional surgical and dental procedures.

Dr. Gerald Buchoff is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Master of Science in Immunology. Dr. Buchoff earned a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (equivalent to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) at the G.B. Pant University of Technology and Agriculture in PantNagar, India. Following that, he published an article on the genetic control of the immune response. Dr. Buchoff holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Housecall and Mobile Veterinarians, and the NJ Veterinary Medical Association. Currently, he lives in West Orange in Essex County.
