I served as a school superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal and teacher for 34 years. I have an Ed.D from NYU and two masters degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University. Upon retirement I became the COO of the National Urban Alliance serving a ten year term. After leaving the NUA I became a principal of Cognitive Process Corporation an organization that provides consultant services in the development of new thinking skills for corporations. I am also a principal in the TFE group an organization working with a major university on the creation of a National Center for the Teaching of Financial Literacy. I am a senior advisor for the Thinking Foundation and a director of the Suffolk County SPCA. I have co authored two books on writing and have provided congressional testimony on financial literacy.
