Dr. G. Philip Spencer

Since 1981, periodontist Dr. G. Philip Spencer has provided patients with a variety of solutions to meet their dental needs. Dr. Spencer offers various surgical and non-surgical treatments, including prophylaxis, bone grafting, cosmetic periodontal surgery, crown lengthening, frenectomy, osseous surgery, and scaling and root planing, among other options. Additionally, Dr. G. Philip Spencer offers individuals the option of getting dental implants. Philip Spencer assists his patients with decades of professional experience, as well as extensive formal training in his field. Dr. G. Philip Spencer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Baylor University through the institution’s pre-med and pre-dental program. While at Baylor, he also gained academic distinction as a member of Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society (TriBeta) and Alpha Epsilon Delta, Inc. In addition, he graduated cum laude and served as a biology teaching assistant during his undergraduate education. Soon after receiving his BA, Dr. G. Philip Spencer pursued graduate studies in dentistry at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, where he earned an award for his exceptional performance as a student of orthodontics. In 1979, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Two years later, Dr. Spencer obtained a Certificate of Periodontics from the Dental School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, solidifying his knowledge and proficiency in that particular area. Today, in addition to working at his private practice, Dr. G. Philip Spencer remains an active figure in his professional community as a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Texas Dental Association, and the Southwest Society of Periodontists, among several other organizations.
