Grace Chen

An Assistant Professor in the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Grace Chen specializes in pain management and anesthesia care. In recognition of her ongoing commitment to the field of medicine, Dr. Grace Chen was presented with the Wendell Stevens Humanitarian Award in Medicine in 2007 as well as receiving a Residency Research Award in 2004.

A licensed medical doctor in the states of Oregon and Washington, Dr. Grace Chen is certified in pain management by The American Board of Anesthesiology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from University of California, Berkeley. She then served as a Research Intern at the University of California, San Francisco’s National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. Applying her impressive academic background towards the study of medicine, Dr. Grace Chen then enrolled in the University of Michigan Medical School, receiving her MD in June of 2003.

Undertaking a transitional internship at San Joaquin General Hospital, Dr. Grace Chen provided quality medical care to people living in and around French Camp, California. She completed a residency in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine with OHSU, and then she went on to become a Pain Management Fellow of the nationally recognized research and medical facility.

Dr. Grace Chen holds a general certification and a specific certification in pain management with The American Board of Anesthesiology. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
