Dr. Henry Chin

For more than three decades, Dr. Henry Chin has provided timely and compassionate restorative dentistry. Committed to helping his patients maintain excellent oral health, he treats adults and children at Capitol Hill Montlake Dentistry in Seattle. His practice offers the latest laser and digital technologies in addition to a professional and caring staff in comfortable surroundings. Committed to The Pankey Institute philosophy, Dr. Henry Chin focuses on preventive care and restoration, refusing to extract teeth or perform other unnecessary procedures and continuously educating patients to improve their “Dental IQ.”

Dr. Henry Chin arrived in the United States from Guangzhou, China, at the age of seven. He received a D.D.S. from the University of Washington, where he later lectured and taught in the Departments of Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine for 20 years. At Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York, Dr. Henry Chin fulfilled a residency in general dentistry and became a United Cerebral Palsy fellow in pedodontics and dentistry for the handicapped. He remains current on new technologies and techniques through professional memberships, Seattle Study Club participation, and regular conference attendance.

In cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Henry Chin provides the Invisalign clear teeth-straightening system, Zoom! 2 teeth whitening in just 2 hours, and interproximal recontouring to reshape dentition. He also holds expertise in implant techniques, porcelain veneers, composite and amalgam fillings, and other evidence-based cosmetic procedures. At Dr. Henry Chin’s office, before any procedure begins, patients view their intraoral photos, any X-rays, and procedural videos on flat-screen TVs mounted in each treatment room. The practice’s Kodak SOFTDENT stores all patient information digitally in one centralized location, providing consistency, clarity, and ease of access.

Sharing his success, Dr. Henry Chin sits on the Board of Directors of Kin On Health Care Center and supports the Community Care Network of Kin On and United Way of King County. A Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Honor Society, he also holds memberships in the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the American and Washington State Dental Associations, and The Pankey Institute.
