Dr. Irvin McCaine Jr.

As a result of his brilliant body of work as well as the enormous amount of success he has experienced throughout his career in the healthcare industry, Dr. Irvin L. McCaine Jr. has earned recognition in the celebrated network of distinguished professionals with Stanford Who's Who.
Employing his extensive experience and expertise in the field, Dr. McCaine ran his own general dentistry practice in the Mount Vernon region of New York for 30 years from 1963 until 1992. He was a full time dentist with Montefiore since 1992 and a part time dentist from 1973 to 1992 and also spent time in his dental practice. After 31 years at the Montefiore Medical Center as an attending general practice dentist teaching general practice residents, Dr. McCaine retired. After retiring from Montefiore about 7 years ago and not wanting to cease teaching dentistry, Dr. McCaine started work as a dental attending for Jacobi Medical Center and the North Central Bronx Hospital. For 40 years Irvin has taught many hundreds of dental residents the art of general dentistry and has enjoyed every minute of the experience.
As Professor of Dentistry for residency students at the Jacobi Medical Center located in the Bronx, NY, Irvin teaches in a clinical setting. In addition, he is part of the faculty at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he serves as an Assistant Professor of Dentistry. He was an adjunct Professor for Columbia Dental School while working at Montefiore helping Columbia extern dental students when they came to the Montefiore Clinic.
Dr. McCaine is an extensively educated individual who earned his BA from the University of California, Berkeley and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University., Washington, DC. After graduating, Irvin was a captain in the US Army Dental Corps for 2 years and also completed a residency at the Montefiore Medical Center. Moreover, McCaine's deceased father was a DDS and oral surgeon with the rank of Lt Colonel in the US air force for almost 40 years.
Dr. McCaine was affiliated for 10 years as an attending dentist in pedodontic dentistry with the Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Evidencing his remarkable reputation in his field, Dr. McCaine is a member of the American Dental Association. Irvin served the than local, Mount Vernon, NY, Dental Society in every office until he was president.
