Dritan Axhami – Executive Director | Economic Development Strategist | Communication Expert
Dritan Axhami is a seasoned executive and economic development strategist with over two decades of international experience spanning Southeast Asia and the Balkans. The youngest of four children from a respected and patriotic Albanian family, Dritan was raised in Albania before relocating to Malaysia in 1998, where he lived and worked for 15 years. He is now based in Prishtina, Kosovo, where he resides with his family.
Career Highlights
Dritan is the founder and current Chairman of the Malaysia-Albania Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit and independent body registered with the Government of Malaysia. Since establishing the Chamber in 2010, he has transformed it into a dynamic platform for economic diplomacy, fostering trade and investment ties between Malaysia and the Eastern Balkan region.
Earlier in his career, Dritan served as Executive Director at Orea Technologies Sdn Bhd, an IT security firm headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, where he developed deep expertise in business operations, cybersecurity, and organizational leadership.
Following his return to the Balkans, Dritan continued contributing to international education as a lecturer in International Business at the International Virtual University in Turkey. He currently serves as Executive Director of Asia Balkan Group in Prishtina, focusing on regional trade facilitation and cross-border business partnerships.
Education & Credentials
Dritan holds a Bachelor and Master degree of Human Sciences in Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations from the International University Malaysia. He also completed a two-year postgraduate program in English Language from the same university.
He has earned multiple international certifications, including:

Values & Interests
Inspired by his father—who served in senior government roles in Albania during the 1970s and 80s—Dritan developed a deep respect for public service, diplomacy, and communication from an early age.
Outside of work, Dritan is an avid golfer and a proud member of the Malaysia Golf Association. He also enjoys swimming, reading, and exploring global cultures.
