Dr. James Eells

Experienced physician Dr. James Eells has managed a Las Vegas-based private practice since 2006, where he offers highly personalized services through a concierge medicine model. Dr. Eells sees relatively few patients so that he can offer individualized care to each, detecting and preventing illnesses by prioritizing health maintenance services. In addition, he stresses developing relationships with each of his patients; he shares his personal phone number and is available anytime, day or night. At his practice, Dr. James Eells also offers alternative medical treatments when feasible, engages in supplement and vitamin trials, and draws on his knowledge of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. He has earned several accolades over the course of his career; in 2009, for instance, the Consumers' Research Council of America named him one of America's Top Physicians.

When outside the office, Dr. James Eells enjoys partaking in a number of recreational activities. An avid nature enthusiast, he revels in the quietude afforded by his family cabin in the mountains of southern Utah. He also likes to go camping and backpacking in various places in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, particularly Lake Tahoe's Desolation Wilderness area. His other hobbies include studying the history of American religion, raising rhinoceros iguanas, and practicing Bikram Hatha Yoga.

Dr. James Eells completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He then entered the Nevada School of Medicine on a full-tuition scholarship from the United States Air Force. He received his MD in 1989 and joined University Medical Center in Las Vegas as an internal medicine resident. While working in the Air Force as an active-duty physician, Dr. James Eells ascended from First Lieutenant to the rank of Major.
