Also while at the School of Dentistry, Dr. James Lauren Hargrove conducted research on methods of detecting giardia lamblia, a parasite that can lead to a diarrheal infection of the small intestine, in drinking water. In 1999, Dr. James Lauren Hargrove established his private dental firm Lauren Hargrove, D.M.D. L.L.C. in Atlanta, Georgia. Functioning as President and Clinic Director, he focused on restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. While operating this practice, Dr. James Lauren Hargrove remained committed to continuing his education and took a number of classes with various accredited institutes, such as the Perio Institute, Inc., Nobel Biocare Services AG, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS).
