Dr. Jason Jaramillo

Dr. Jason Jaramillo is a physician, entrepreneur, and the owner and founder of Incyte Consulting, a leading biotech consulting firm based in New York City. In his executive role with the company, he serves as a liaison between clinicians and biotech firms specializing in oncology. In addition to his work with Incyte Consulting, Dr. Jason Jaramillo is a practicing physician at a primary care practice.He is currently working to establish a new model of primary care in which patient interactions last longer than the usual doctors' visits. He and a nurse visit patients in the comfort of their homes. He undertakes extensive medical, family medical, and social histories of his patients. Dr. Jaramillo likes to establish trust and ease with patients and creates detailed health plans that are tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.

Dr. Jason Jaramillo graduated cum laude from Hillsdale College, where he earned Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Spanish before going on to attend medical school at the University of New Mexico. While in medical school, he held a full-time research fellowship funded by the National Eye Institute, and contributed a number of papers to prominent ophthalmological journals. In addition, he founded The International Health Interest Group and served on the board of St. Jude's Medical Missions.

After graduating from medical school with honors in 2005, Dr. Jason Jaramillo spent one year at the New York University Tisch Hospital, where he served as a clinical research associate responsible for liaising with pharmaceutical companies. He was a house staff physician at the Long Island College Hospital of Brooklyn. His responsibilities at the hospital included taking care of patients who required hospital medical care. He ordered and interpreted laboratory reports as they pertained to the treatment plans agreed upon by the hospital's team of residents under the supervision of the attending (teaching) physicians.

In addition to his work with his patients, Dr. Jason Jaramillo is continuing to make a difference internationally. A longtime participant in medical missions to Mexico, from 2009 to 2010 he served as the Director of Operations for L.E.A.D. Uganda, a nonprofit group working with former child soldiers and AIDS orphans in the African country.
