Dr. Jeffrey Lake

Encino, CA, US

An expert in the treatment of hemorrhoids, Dr. Jeffrey Lake serves patients throughout the San Fernando Valley as head of Valley Colorectal Surgeons. His Encino, CA, practice has introduced incisionless hemorrhoidectomies through the transanal hemorrhoid dearterialization (THD) technique. Employing ultrasound to detect and tie off hemorrhoids, THD minimizes the recovery time and pain associated with conventional surgical procedures. Dr. Jeffrey Lake and his colleagues also offer patients quality care for conditions such as anal fissures, anal fistulas, pruritis ani, anorectal warts, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.

Jeff Lake, MD, completed his bachelor's degree in biology with high distinction at the University of California, Berkeley. Earning his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, he undertook a general surgery residency and a colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC). He achieved distinction through earning the USC Department of Surgery’s Resident Teacher of the Year award and the Chief Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Lake also completed a master’s degree in clinical and biomedical investigations at USC. Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, he holds clinical assistant professor responsibilities with USC’s Division of Colorectal Surgery.
