Dr. John Won

Dr. John Won has close to two decades of experience as an oral surgeon and has spent the past 15 years with POMS Facial Surgery. Initially serving as the principal surgeon of the company’s Raleigh, North Carolina clinic, Dr. John Won has since joined its Elizabeth City location.
Working with both clinics, he performs procedures involving impacted wisdom teeth, reconstructive bone grafting, and other issues. Overlapping this work, Dr. Won has also served as an associate clinical professor at the University of North Carolina’s department of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Holding the role from 2006 to 2016, he was also selected for the university’s board of visitors for three years. A University of California alumnus, Dr. John Won earned a bachelor of science in biological science in 1992. In 1999, he graduated from Columbia University with a doctor of dental surgery.
Following this, Dr. Won completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of North Carolina.
