The recipient of a Merit Scholarship from Rutgers University, Dr. Jonathan Fellus earned a bachelor's degree in neurobiology from the school in 1988 and subsequently enrolled in Rutgers Robert W. Johnson Medical School. He obtained his MD in 1992, and soon after, completed an internal medicine residency at Mountainside Hospital and a neurology residency at Pennsylvania Hospital. He then completed a one-year neurorehabilitation fellowship at Kernan Rehab Hospital before joining the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation as a staff neurologist.

Dr. Fellus was promoted to director of brain injury within one year of working at Kessler and was tasked with oversight of the largest brain injury in-patient rehab program in the US. He served a dozen years in this role and has since held director, administrative, and research positions at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center, CIIT Medical Center, and the International Brain Research Foundation. At the latter, he co-developed a neuromarker-driven neuromodulation multimodal clinical care protocol.

Jonathan Fellus, MD, has provided treatment of conditions associated with acquired brain injury through Advanced NeuroCare, LLC, since 2019. He concurrently serves as chief medical officer at the Moulay Ali Institute for Rehabilitation. He co-founded the Marrakech, Morocco-based facility in 2008 and oversaw all medical affairs and personnel training. The clinic now serves as many as 50 patients per day.
