Born on January 3rd, 1960, in India, Jose Jacob's medical education began at St. John's Medical College in Bangalore, where he received his MBBS degree in 1983. He then pursued an MD in General Internal Medicine, graduating in 1991. His growing interest in cardiology led him to earn his MSc in Cardiology in 1995, with research focused on improving treatments for heart attacks.

Dr. Jacob relocated to the United States in 1996 to continue his medical training. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Then, he completed his cardiology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital from 1999 to 2002, specializing in invasive cardiology.

Since 2002, Dr. Jacob has been practicing invasive cardiology in various U.S. hospitals, offering expert care in diagnostic procedures and treatments. He has worked at institutions such as Fayetteville Heart Center, Carolina Heart, and Eastern Carolina Cardiovascular, providing top-tier cardiovascular care to patients.

Jose Jacob MD has also served in leadership roles, including Director of the Department of Medicine at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center and Chief of Staff at Martin General Hospital.
