Dr. Joy Hamm

Joy Hamm began her higher education career in student affairs, working with student conduct, residence life and housing, fraternity and sorority life, alcohol and other drug education, student leadership programs and Student Government Association, student activities, tutoring, counseling, and student disability resources.
Throughout her career, Dr. Joy Hamm has created department-level strategic plans; assisted in the development of institution-level strategic plans; and composed learning outcomes and objectives for academic classes as well as general student engagement and assessed degree of successful completion of these for institutional, state, and national reporting.
Joy Hamm was the author and principal investigator for a federal grant that led to the creation of an office of alcohol and other drug education on her campus. She has published her own research and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of American College Health.
Dr. Joy Hamm has a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Administration from Georgia Southern University, a Master of Artsin Counselor Education from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and aBachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Joy Hamm resides in Sarasota, Florida with her partner, Kevin, and is bonus mom to nine-year old Samuel.
