Karen Norum

Dr. Karen Norum is a recovering academic. When she was growing up, her parents frequently encouraged her to become a lawyer because she asked so many questions. While she didn’t become a lawyer, she did find a way to make asking questions part of her profession. After 11 years of teaching at the graduate level, she is allowing interests and gifts that were well buried for decades to surface. She is learning to embrace her gift of intuition and making connections (whether they be ideas or people) and integrate that into her work. Karen has an eclectic array of interests, ranging from energy work and healing to travel to spirituality to self care to feng shui to leadership to women’s issues to current affairs. She published over 20 articles in national and international academic journals on topics such as the power of language, positivity, leadership, and the effect of physical space on our lives. She has traveled to Austraiia, New Zealand, The United Arab Emirates, Scandinavia, Iceland, Europe, South Africa.
