Dr. Keltie Duggan
After earning licensure from the Medical Council of Canada and receiving certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Dr. Keltie Duggan embarked on a career as a hospitalist with Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Keltie Duggan spent several years working at the Low Risk Obstetrical Clinic in Calgary before deciding to focus on inpatient care as a hospitalist.
Dr. Keltie Duggan attended the University of Alberta in her undergraduate years, focusing on English and graduating with distinction. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Calgary, where she also completed her family medicine residency. Dr. Duggan continually accepts invitations to teach medical students and residents, reflecting the skill and experience she has accrued in her academic and professional careers. In addition, she participates as a presenter for hospitalist teaching rounds at Peter Lougheed Centre. Dr. Keltie Duggan participated in research looking at the attitudes of medical students towards complementary medicine.
During her undergraduate years, Dr. Duggan was active in community service. Dr. Duggan volunteered her time at Alberta Children's Hospital in infant care, the inpatient playroom, and the outpatient oncology clinic; Dr. Duggan received the Five-Year Service Award from that organization for her efforts. She also supported the Calgary Urban Project Society, Special Olympics swimming at the University of Alberta, and the Eugene L. Brody Funding Committee at the same school.
