Dr. Konstantinos Marmagkiolis

Dr. Konstantinos Marmagkiolis is a board-certified physician in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases and currently practices at Tampa Heart & Vascular Associates, a cardiology practice in Florida. His clinical work focuses on diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular conditions through interventional procedures and specialized therapies. As a structural heart disease specialist, he works with patients who require complex coronary interventions, structural heart valve procedures, and endovascular treatments. His goal in clinical practice is to provide clear evaluations, efficient care, and treatment plans that address each patient’s individual cardiovascular needs.

Along with his clinical work, Marmagkiolis is involved in academic medicine in the United States. He serves as a Collaborative Associate Professor of Cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He also holds the role of Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology, Division of Internal Medicine, at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Through these positions, he participates in academic collaborations and contributes to cardiology medical education.

Konstantinos Marmagkiolis, MD, has also been active in research and academic publishing throughout his career. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in cardiovascular and interventional cardiology journals. His research interests include coronary calcium modification, structural heart intervention techniques, catheter-based therapies, and long-term patient outcomes following complex PCI procedures.

Konstantinos has also collaborated with physicians, academic institutions, and international research teams in both the United States and Europe. These collaborations support ongoing discussions on new techniques, clinical research, and improvements in cardiovascular treatment. His involvement in these professional relationships reflects a continued commitment to knowledge sharing within the global cardiology community.

Dr. Konstantinos Marmagkiolis completed his medical education at Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He later earned an MBA from the Open University of Cyprus and completed the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Born in Kavala, Greece, he is married and has four children. He speaks Greek, English, and French and holds both U.S. and Greek citizenship.
