Dr. Kyle Huggins

Dr. Kyle A. Huggins received a B.S. in Psychology and an M.B.A. from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He has taught Marketing at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and now at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kyle has published scholarly research articles in a number of journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law, and the American Journal of Public Health. His research has been recognized nationally and helped lead to the adoption of the Menu Education and Labeling Act across several states and principalities. Kyle's research interests lie within digital and inbound marketing strategies, consumer consumption habits, and consumer gratitude.
Kyle has taught a variety of marketing courses, including Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, and his new favorite, social media marketing. As a graduate student at the University of Arkansas, he won the 2005 Walton College of Business Award for Excellence in Teaching and the campus wide 2005 Baum Teaching Award. In 2011, Kyle was inducted into the LINKS Hall of Fame as a recipient for his distinguished work with LINKS competitive business simulations in the classroom. Also for his work with LINKS, he was nominated as a recipient for the 2011 Kenneth R. Bartee Award for Teaching Innovation within the College of Business at James Madison University.
