Dr. Lauren Crigler is a physical therapist, licensed in the state of Georgia. She earned a BS from the University of Florida with a strong focus on nutrition science and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Crigler has worked as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor from 2003-2008 and as a physical therapist from 2008-present. With a multifaceted and hands on approach, she treats a variety of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and injuries, low back pain, pelvic pain and migraines. She also provides therapeutic massage. She is passionate about alleviating pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction to help people live healthy and active lives.
In 2009, Dr. Crigler spent a month in Quito, Ecuador volunteering as a physical therapist in a military hospital. Before leaving, she was a university guest lecturer, presenting her successful treatment of lymphedema in breast cancer patients using lymphatic massage, compression wrapping, and exercise prescription.
Dr. Crigler is an active member of the APTA and serves on the Section on Women’s Health committee reviewing and evaluating case studies and research of fellow physical therapists in the field.
Her personal interests include running, hiking, biking, preparing healthy meals for her family, and being outdoors every chance she gets. In both her personal and her professional life, Dr. Crigler is a nutrition and exercise enthusiast and incorporates aspects of each in her patient/client treatment plans.
