Dr Leigh Beveridge Australia
Drug Development Physician/Medical Director in Victoria, Australia
I’m Dr. Leigh Beveridge, a physician-scientist and biotech leader who has spent my career working at the intersection of hematology, immunology, and clinical development. I grew up in Australia in a home that encouraged curiosity, imagination, and careful thinking, and that early mix shaped how I approach science and leadership today. My academic path took me through Monash University, the University of Tasmania, the University of Sydney, and now the UC Davis MBA program, where I continue to explore how strategy, communication, and teamwork strengthen medical innovation.
I’ve led global development programs in hematologic and autoimmune diseases, working across late-stage trials, regulatory strategy, and cross-functional decision-making. My experiences at Servier and Genentech taught me how to connect complex data with real patient needs and how to guide teams through fast-moving and high-stakes work.
Outside of clinical development, I’m committed to mentorship and creating more inclusive and supportive spaces in STEM, especially for LGBTQ+ professionals and early-career scientists. I’ve volunteered as a counselor, radio presenter, and mentor because I believe communication and community matter just as much as the science itself. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys writing, dance, travel, and creative problem-solving, and I try to bring that same curiosity into every part of my work.
