Portland, OR

A Pediatric Gastroenterologist with more than 20 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Linda Muir acts as Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she works to expand the program and provide better care for patients in Oregon and Washington. In her position, Dr. Linda Muir works closely with several other programs, such as dietetic and feeding initiatives, to create a comprehensive approach to pediatric gastroenterologic health. As part of that directive, Dr. Muir hired several qualified nurses capable of treating patients with complex or unusual issues. Before joining the OHSU staff, Dr. Linda Muir treated patients through a practice located in Bellevue, Washington. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco, after serving as a Dietician for almost a decade. While pursuing her medical degree, Dr. Linda Muir earned both an American Mensa Education & Research Foundation scholarship and a Phi Kappa Phi scholarship. She belongs to several professional organizations that inform her work, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Gastroenterological Association. Outside of her career, Dr. Linda Muir remains actively involved with her community through 4-H events. She also supports the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Mark Rypien Foundation, the Children's Digestive Health and Nutrition Foundation, and other charitable organizations. Recreationally, she enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking; she has even trained her English setters to ride on the back of her family’s kayaks. An avid traveler, she lists the Puget Sound and Priest Lake, Idaho, among her favorite destinations.
