Dr. Mack Hines

After earning his bachelor of arts in social studies from Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, Dr. Mack Hines matriculated at South Carolina State University (SCSU) to study graduate-level elementary education. He earned a master of arts in teaching in 1995 and subsequently found employment as a first- and second-grade schoolteacher with Florence School District One in Florence, South Carolina. After returning to academia in 1997 as a student of educational leadership, he advanced into administration as an assistant and associate principal in Florence School District One. Dr. Mack Hines ultimately received his educational specialist degree from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and his doctor of education from SCSU in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Currently a resident of Prosper, Texas, Dr. Hines serves dual roles as the chief executive officer of Mack Hines Consulting and as a tenured professor of educational leadership at Sam Houston State University in nearby Huntsville. In both of these positions, he stresses the importance of promoting cultural inclusion and responsiveness in the academic environment.
