He is now a senior medical oncologist at the BC Cancer Agency , Victoria site.

He received his medical degree from McGill University and pursued postgraduate training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. He also has a master’s degree in biophysics from the University British ColumbiaHe is currently a senior medical oncologist at the Victoria Cancer Clinic in Victoria BCHe is a diplomat of the American boards of internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology, and holds Canadian fellowships in both internal medicine and hematology.
