Dr Marcilio

A licensed psychiatrist who specializes in child psychiatry, Dr. Milton Marcilio currently operates a private clinical practice in Toronto and serves as a consultant psychiatrist with Frontenac Youth Services in Oshawa, Ontario. After obtaining his degree in psychiatry from Montreal’s McGill University, Dr. Marcilio completed two further years of specialized study in child psychiatry at the Montreal Children's Hospital, a teaching hospital affiliate of McGill University. Moreover, Dr. Milton Marcilio is licensed to practice psychiatry in Canada by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of the Province of Quebec.

Dr. Marcilio has delivered lectures in over five countries and published articles in scholarly journals and lay periodicals. Invited by the delegation of Brazil, Dr. Marcilio spoke at the United Nations World Health Organization, and at the 2011 World Psychiatric Association Thematic Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, he presented his paper, “Multiple Family Therapy.” Dr. Marcilio is also co-author of a research article on adolescent psychotherapy that appeared in The Psychiatric Journal of the University of Ottawa.
