Dr. Margaret Sommerville

With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Margaret Sommerville treats patients in Chevy Chase, Maryland, at the practice she founded, Chevy Chase Dermatology. Named one of the Leading Physicians of the World by the International Association of Dermatologists, Dr. Margaret Sommerville began seeing clients at the practice in 2007 and continues to diagnose and treat various skin conditions. Chevy Chase Dermatology operates as an integrated cosmetic and medical skin care center that addresses both the health and aesthetic aspects of each patient's skin. From spider veins to signs of aging, Chevy Chase Dermatology has the technology and experience to effectively address a wide range of skin concerns. Dr. Margaret Sommerville attended the George Washington University of School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Sommerville went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Health System and a residency in dermatology at University of Missouri Health Care.

Dr. Margaret Sommerville continues to develop herself professionally and stay abreast of trends in her industry. She is a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery, the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Maryland State Medical Society, and the Women's Dermatologic Society. In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, her other memberships include the Women's Diplomatic Series and the Women Business Owners of Montgomery County.
