A longtime resident of Blairstown, New Jersey, Dr. Mark Nelke attended North Warren Regional High School in the early 1970s. After graduation, he attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he earned his bachelor of science in biology, and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he earned his doctor of dental medicine. Dr. Mark Nelke completed a residency with a focus on general practice at Irwin Army Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Dr. Nelke ultimately practiced through the US Army Dental Corp from 1981 to 1984. He has been a member of the American Dental Association since 1984 and a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1986. In addition to his extensive general dentistry experience, he is trained in implant dentistry, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class at the Zimmer Institute for Implant Studies in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. Dr. Mark Nelke provides general care and performs implant procedures as the chief executive officer and head dentist at his own Blairstown practice.
