Dr Marlene Casiano

With over 25 years of experience in clinical psychiatry, Dr. Marlene Casiano brings to her Barrington, Illinois, private practice an extensive knowledge of pharmacology and effective communication. She values her role in educating patients about mental illness and treatment options, encouraging their active participation in recovery. Dr. Marlene Casiano provides psychiatric diagnosis, supportive psychotherapy, and medication management. Starting out in her career, Dr. Casiano worked at Charter Barclay Hospital in Chicago as an on-call psychiatrist. She then served as a consulting psychiatrist to Greater Lawn Mental Health Center in Chicago and United Charities Family & Mental Health Services of Southwest Cook County. For several years, she was affiliated with Behavioral Medicine Associates in Schaumburg, Illinois. She also held an academic appointment for 16 years at Loyola University Medical Center as a clinical instructor in psychiatry.

Active in her profession, Dr. Casiano is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and is involved with the Illinois Psychiatric Society. She is also a member of the American Medical Association.
