Dr Marvin Bonham

Dr. Marvin Bonham is a well-traveled, retired physician who grew up in Oklahoma at his parents' farm. He didn't let being an only child stand in the way of excelling both socially and academically. After high school, Dr. Bonham embarked on a foreign-study program, spending four months in Europe. This was just the start to his travels.

College life began at the University of Oklahoma, where he was an active part of his Kappa Sigma social fraternity, and he was also involved in demonstrations about the Vietnam war, participating in many marches and protests. After transferring to Rice University in Houston, Dr. Bonham graduated magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa and was then accepted into medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, during which time he spent a year at Baylor Medical School, as well as four months at Stanford for pediatric cardiology training. After a two-year residency completed at Stanford, he joined a private practice at Los Gatos, California, where he spent the next 17 years of his life.

While working hard at his career including stints as a Medical Director, a CEO and on several Boards of Directors, Dr. Marvin Bonham still found time to travel more extensively. He spent time in many places such as Hong Kong, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Rangoon and the Chinese border. Traveling the world with his parents left such an impression on him that it inspired him to continue his trek across the globe.
