Dr. M. Emadul Haq is a specialist, dedicated to the art and science of orthodontics. But his practice is not limited to orthodontics only. He works in the clinic with his wife Dr. Aziza Begum along with few other young but well trained Doctors. He graduated from Dhaka Dental College in 1965 and specialized in orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England after attending a Post-Graduate course on Orthodontics at the Institute of Dental Surgery (Eastman Dental Hospital), London. In UK he also gathered experiences in the different clinical dental subjects including Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Oral Medicine by working in the Perth Royal Infirmary, Bridge of Earn Hospital and in the Dundee Dental College & Hospital, Scotland.

He worked at the Dhaka Dental College and Hospital for about 34 years in different teaching posts including Professor of Orthodontics. He is now the Professor of Orthodontics at the City Dental College, Dhaka.

Dr. Haq is a Life-member and Founder President of the Bangladesh Orthodontic Society, Life-member and Ex-President of the Bangladesh Dental Society and a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics. He is also a Fellow of the International College of dentists (USA).

He has written and published two books in Bengali on Oral health Education for general readers and a Textbook in English on Orthodontics for dental student and dental doctors. A good number of articles have also been published in the renowned Journals.

18 religious books have also been written by Dr. Haq.

He is also the designer of the Monograms of Dhaka Dental College, Bangladesh Dental Society and Bangladesh Orthodontic Society, beside some others.

He has attended a large number of National and International workshop and seminars on Oral Health and Education.

He has been honored by awarding Plaques of appreciation by the Bangladesh Dental Association in North America and by the Bangladesh Dental Society, both in 1994 as an appreciation for his contribution in the field of dentistry.

His wife. Dr. Aziza Begum. BDS, DDPH, RCS (Eng), is the Principal, City Dental College and Professor of Children, Preventive and community Dentistry, at the City Dental College & Hospital. They are blessed with two sons and a daughter. The eldest son, Dr Ashique is a medical doctor and the daughter, Shaila is a Dental Surgeon. Youngest son, Asiful Haq is an engineer
